PCA Bargaining Committee

A committee of PCAs from across Massachusetts have begun the process of bargaining a contract with the consumer-led PCA Quality Home Care Workforce Council. During bargaining sessions, the bargaining committee will negotiate improvements in wages, health insurance and paid time off. The timeline for bargaining a contract depends on how long it takes to come to an agreement, and no pay raises or new benefits will take effect until a contract has been negotiated and approved by a majority of PCAs. Meet the PCA bargaining committee!

"I've been involved since the beginning, knowing that being unionized will help both PCAs and consumers. I've seen so much turnover even with my own co-workers because the pay is low and there's no benefits. I'm excited that we're able to move forward now."
